Hence I arrange reading groups, in which I explain and guide you through the difficult texts. The Arendt books I arrange reading groups for are: \u201cThe Human Condition\u201d, \u201cThe Life of the Mind\u201d and \u201cEichmann in Jerusalem – a report on the banality of evil\u201d. The S\u00f8ren Kierkegaard books are \u201cFear and Trembling\u201d and \u201cEither Or\u201d. I have made this detailed programme for a reading group on \u201cEither Or\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In the teaching I explain of the structure of the work, give necessary background knowledge about S\u00f8ren Kierkegaard and of course you get opportunities to ask questions and share reading insights with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Either-Or is a collection of many different text genres \u2013 written from different positions. We will not read the entire work (it is over 800 p. difficult text), instead I have selected parts and samples. We read the preface, some selected pieces of diapsalamatas and the Seducer’s diary. In addition, we read parts of the book “Wilhelm’s letter” by J\u00f8rgen Husted instead of reading Kierkegaard\u2019s volume 2, which is very difficult to read for first-time readers. You will receive translations of part of Husted\u2019s book with email. And then we read short excepts from volume 2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Enter your email address below if you’re interested. I select the weekly evening with those of you who are interested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n You don’t have to read anything before the first time and in the process there are about 300 pages to read (but you can also read part of this and then a few months later read the rest yourself when you have time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Program for the evenings (changes may occur):<\/p>\n\n\n\n First time: Mi\u00f0skar\u00f0 teaches about Kierkegaard, the pseudonyms and Kierkegaaard’s basic ideas (set in relation to “Either-Or”). Next, we read together the first part of the preface, where there is an opportunity for questions\/comments. Then you will receive two philosophical diapsalamatas (10-20 lines) from “Either-Or” approx. every other day in an email for 2 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Second time: We discuss the small philosophical diapsalamatas. We also see an aesthetic video built over “Either-Or”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Third time: We read together the second part of the preface. Mi\u00f0skar\u00f0 teaches about the central ideas in Volume 1 of “Either-Or”. Mi\u00f0skar\u00f0 teaches introductory about “The Seducer’s Diary”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fourth time: Mi\u00f0skar\u00f0 answers questions about “The Seducer’s Diary” and you are given the opportunity to discuss what has been read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fifth time: Mi\u00f0skar\u00f0 answers questions about “The Seducer’s Diary” and you are given the opportunity to discuss what has been read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sixth time: Mi\u00f0skar\u00f0 gives teaching on Volume 2 of “Either-Or”. And gives an introduction to the book “Wilhelm’s Letter\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Seventh time: Mi\u00f0skar\u00f0 answers questions about “Wilhelm’s letters” and you are given the opportunity to discuss what has been read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eighth time: Mi\u00f0skar\u00f0 answers questions about “Wilhelm’s letters” and you are given the opportunity to discuss what has been read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ninth time.
